Free retinol oxidises in 30 minutes once your bottle opens, and irritates the skin barrier in concentrations above 0.3 %. Lumière uses a polymer-encapsulated 0.5 % retinol that releases over 8 hours in the skin — equivalent efficacy to prescription tretinoin in a 24-week split-face trial, with a fraction of the redness.
Twice a week for 2 weeks, then alternate nights for 2 weeks, then nightly. Always pair with morning SPF 30+. Pregnant or trying to conceive — do not use.
